Weapons of any kind, self-defense devices (pepper spray, mace, tasers, etc...), knives, box cutters, scissors, and any other item that the 23rd District Court deems prohibited. Electronic devices are also prohibited in the court unless prior approval is obtained. Any item that is prohibited in the 23rd District Court may be confiscated and may not be returned.

*If any of the observed designated holidays fall on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as the holiday. If any of the above designated holidays fall on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as the holiday.

SECURITY SCREENING
Security screening is in progress at the 23rd District Court every day. Individuals and their belongings (purses, bags, briefcases, etc...) entering the 23rd District Court are subject to search. *Cell phones are not allowed in the 23rd District Court unless you are a Police Officer or an attorney with a valid Michigan Bar Card. You must leave your cell phone in your vehicle while attending the 23rd District Court, or it may be confiscated permanently.
