The 1st District Court is closed during the following holidays (These holidays may change):
SECURITY SCREENING
Security screening is in progress at the 1st District Court every day. Individuals and their belongings (purses, bags, briefcases, etc...) entering the 1st District Court are subject to search. *Cell phones are not allowed in the 1st District Court unless you are a Police Officer or an attorney with a valid Michigan Bar Card. You must leave your cell phone in your vehicle while attending the 1st District Court, or it may be confiscated permanently.
Weapons of any kind, self-defense devices (pepper spray, mace, tasers, etc...), knives, box cutters, scissors, and any other item that the 1st District Court deems prohibited. Electronic devices are also prohibited in the court unless prior approval is obtained. Any item that is prohibited in the 1st District Court may be confiscated and may not be returned.
